We are excited about bringing you Elena’s “It’s All About Love” chat room in June 2006. You will have the opportunity to share and exchange ideas, thoughts and perhaps even your dreams, with others that have your same interests in Love and Relationships. You will want to check back daily to find out what new and interesting love discussions are brewing!
Chat Room Ethics:
It is unlikely that I need to mention this to you, because I believe that my viewing public has the highest standards. However, I will give a quick review of just a few points.
- Respect the opinions of others. Agree to disagree. Don't take personally the opinions of others. We ask that you treat your fellow chatters with kindness, respect and courtesy. Let's keep this chat room a place where everyone feels validated, supported,and respected. Let's not let the chat room deteriorate into petty bickering, gossip, backbiting, and nasty banter.
- No vulgar language. This includes swearing and the use of any kind of profanity. Please refrain from any vulgar, sexually-oriented, or abusive language.
- We do not allow attacks on another person's race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or gender. There is no reason to upset or embarrass anyone.
- No Scrolling. Scrolling means repeatedly causing the chat screen to roll faster than members can read it. It is caused by a user entering a random set of characters or by repeatedly entering a carriage return or any similar disruptive effect.
- No Commercial Solicitations. No, I repeat "No", solicitation is allowed in the chat room.
- Scams, Hackers, and Viruses - If you receive an email with an attached file that you didn't ask for and don't know the person, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. FORWARD it to your internet service provider. If you do know the person, you may want to check with them before downloading it.
- Do not pursue any health, financial or any other related information without checking with a professional in your own city or town. Information you receive via chats should be subject to question, and should never be acted upon without checking and double checking all information. Much erroneous information is shared via online. If it's too good to be true, it probably is not true.
- I encourage you to express yourself honestly and fully about the topic being discussed, not about your private information. I do not recommend you giving out any of your personal information, name, address, and phone number, etc., to anyone in any chat room. It is enjoyable to have chat room friends only!
- Keep an open mind. If you consider or at least entertain other people’s point of view, you may find that you can learn new things about love and relationships.
- Have fun! Not all chat conversation have to be so serious!
- This chat room is not a dating service and must not be used for that purpose.
- If at any time you feel that a moral, ethical and/or legal issue has been violated please report it to Elena immediately. While Elena is not legally responsible for such matters, she will do her best to secure a safe and enjoyable chat environment for you.
- If you feel that there is a legal violation, please report it to your local legal authorities immediately.
