Here's a story from one of our website visiters.

"I was sixteen when I married the first time. And I had my first child when I was seventeen. I had three kids by the time my first divorce was final. I quickly married again, had two more children and another divorce followed. I was uneducated, had no skill but was getting a small amount of child support and alimony.  I didn't come from the kind of family that could help me very much,in fact, they usually only added to my burden. I got a job at a small retail store and did my best to be a good worker. After about six months, I was given a raise. And one year later, I was given the opportunity to be a manager. A year after I was in this position, I was given an opportunity to go to college. I  first had to get my GED and then I went to college. I won't lie, it was really hard, I was working full time, and had full responsibility of child care and was going to school at night.  I finally graduated and got a BA degree in Business. I am currently going after an MBA. I have worked very hard, but have also been given a lot of support and acts of kindness from other woman.  There were times when I thought I could not go on but the love and support of a few female friends made the difference. I was not blessed with a helpful family,but I sure was blessed with helpful and loving friends.  I recently had an opportunity to be supportive of a colleague that  is in a position very much like the position I was in years ago and I am excited to be able to return the kindness,  support and love that was given to me, to her.  Good women friends can really make the difference in making it or not in your life. I urge woman to reach out and help other woman!"
